Keto Donut Holes

Posted on September 28, 2023
Keto donut holes are a delicious low-carb and sugar-free alternative to traditional donut holes. They’re made with keto-friendly ingredients and are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without spiking your blood sugar. Here’s a simple recipe to make keto donut holes:Ingredients:

For the Donut Holes:

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated erythritol (or your preferred keto-friendly sweetener)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any low-carb milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon “Sugar” Coating:

  • 2 tablespoons granulated erythritol
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2. Make the Donut Hole Dough:

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, coconut flour, granulated erythritol, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs, melted butter, almond milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until you have a smooth, thick dough.

3. Form the Donut Holes:

  • Take about 1 tablespoon of dough at a time and roll it into a small ball to form the donut holes. You should be able to make about 16-18 donut holes from the dough. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake:

  • Bake the donut holes in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they are lightly golden and springy to the touch.

5. Prepare the Cinnamon “Sugar” Coating:

  • While the donut holes are baking, mix the granulated erythritol and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl to create the coating.

6. Coat the Donut Holes:

  • Once the donut holes are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  • While they are still warm, roll each donut hole in the cinnamon “sugar” coating to coat them evenly.

7. Serve:

  • Serve your keto donut holes warm as a delicious low-carb treat.

These keto donut holes are a satisfying and tasty way to enjoy a classic treat while staying within your keto diet. They’re perfect for breakfast or as a snack with your favorite keto-friendly coffee or tea. Enjoy!
