cherry cakes in the air fryer

Air fryers are a versatile appliance, and you can use them to make delicious cherry cakes too. Here’s a simple recipe for cherry cakes in the air fryer:

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  2. 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  3. 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  4. 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  5. 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  6. 1 egg
  7. 1/2 cup of milk
  8. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  9. 1 cup of pitted and chopped cherries (fresh or frozen)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set this dry mixture aside.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until a cake batter forms.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped cherries into the cake batter.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Grease the wells of an air fryer baking pan or use silicone cupcake liners.
  8. Fill each well with the cherry cake batter, about 2/3 full. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  9. Place the baking pan or liners in the preheated air fryer basket.
  10. Cook the cherry cakes in the air fryer for about 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cake comes out clean.
  11. Carefully remove the cakes from the air fryer and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  12. Once cooled, you can optionally dust the cherry cakes with powdered sugar or drizzle with a simple glaze for added sweetness.
  13. Enjoy your homemade cherry cakes from the air fryer!

Remember that cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer’s brand and model, so it’s a good idea to check the cakes periodically as they cook to ensure they don’t overcook.
