  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving (optional):

  • Marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 12×14 inches in size. You can use a rolling pin for this.

    • Begin by laying out the pastrami slices evenly over the rolled-out dough.
    • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pastrami.
    • Add the diced bell peppers, onions, black olives, and pepperoncini peppers (if using) evenly over the cheese.
    • Season the toppings with dried Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Roll Up the Stromboli:
    • Starting from one of the longer sides of the rectangle, carefully roll up the dough and filling tightly, like a jellyroll or burrito.
    • Pinch the seams and ends to seal the Stromboli.
  5. Brush with Olive Oil and Parmesan:
    • Place the Stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Brush the top of the Stromboli with olive oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake the Pastrami Stromboli in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until it is golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
  7. Cool and Slice:
    • Remove the Stromboli from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing it into rounds.
  8. Serve:
    • Serve the sliced Pastrami Stromboli hot. You can serve it with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping, if desired.
